Governing Documents
MES Constitution
The Constitution defines the responsibilities of the MES to you, its members, and provides the mission statement that guides day-to-day MES operations and decisions. To see what the MES is all about and what we strive to do for you, take a look!
MES Bylaws
The Bylaws were developed in 2020 in an effort to solidify the activities and policies of the MES, separate from the Policy Manual. The policies documented here are intended to accompany the Constitution and Policy Manual of the McMaster Engineering Society and are binding terms of reference.
Gerald Hatch Centre Procedural Manual
This document contains guidelines, rules, and policies regarding the spaces within the Gerald Hatch Centre. The Hatch Centre is a place for students to participate in experiential learning through extra-curricular activities, which will assist in further developing their technical and professional skills. This procedural manual will serve as a reference for the uses of the various spaces within the Hatch Centre and its rules outline acceptable behaviour within its various facilities.
macLAB Bylaws
The McMaster Laboratory Advancement Benefaction (macLAB) Endowment Fund (“The Fund”) is a project by the McMaster Engineering Society to renew and update the undergraduate engineering laboratory facilities. Voluntary contributions are collected from engineering students, which are invested in a trust fund in order to generate funds each year, and be distributed to departments and programs for labs and facilities. The Board of Directors (“The Board”) administering the Fund has student representation from all programs, as well as faculty and staff. This document serves as a binding term of reference for the Board to guide their activities and decisions.
